Summer Fishing Fling

MAY

Tues/May 2nd – Spring kick off at Narrow River with RISAA Morning meetup at 7am (coffee provided for get together, please bring your own cups). In collaboration with RISSA

Fly Fishing Committee. Fishing the morning outgoing tide.

Tues/May 16th – Cinder Worm Hatch Fishing at Ninigret Park Evening meetup at 5:30pm and fish into dark. Please bring your headlamps to enjoy the best fishing and for safety.

JUNE 

Thurs/June 1st – Cinder Worm Hatch Fishing at Niniget Park

Evening meetup at 5:30pm and fish into dark.

Please bring your headlamps to enjoy the best fishing and for safety.

Thurs/June 15th – Sand Eel fishing at Kings Park Newport

Evening meetup at 5pm (Newport high tide 6:51pm) Please try to arrive early to avoid the NPT traffic.

JULY 

Tues/July 18th – Night Striper Squid Fly Fishing at Fort Adams.

Meetup at 7pm, fishing rising tide, Newport High tide 9:24pm. Best to fish well into dark with big squid flies. Lots of dock lights but good idea to bring your headlamp and large landing.

We will be fishing on shore off the docks, waders optional.

AUGUST 

Summer Break – No fishing meet ups!

Get ready for fantastic fall fishing with lots of opportunities!

SEPTEMBER 

Thurs/Sept 7th – Inlet Fishing at Quonnie

Morning meetup at 10am and fish the rising tide (FYI low tide at Weekapaug Point 9:14am) Planning to fish inside Quonochontaug (aka Quonny) Pond.

Tues/Sept 19th – Beach Fishing South Coast at East Beach Morning meetup at 7am and fish high tide (FYI high tide at Weekapaug Point 11:22am) Alternative location Charlestown Beach.

Thurs/Sept 28th – Shad Attack at Narrow River

Morning meetup at 10am and fish outgoing tide.

Great opportunity to fish two-handers for shad and stripers.

(FYI high tide at Narragansett Pier 7:10am)

OCTOBER 

Wed/Oct 4th – Beach Fishing at 3rd Beach Middletown

Evening meetup at 4pm and fish incoming high tide (FYI high tide 6:04pm in Newport)

Thurs/Oct 26th – Narrow River

Morning meetup at 9am. Plan to fish the morning outgoing tide.

(FYI high tide 6am at Narragansett Pier)

NOVEMBER 

Tues/Nov 14th – Narrow River / End of Season Bash

Morning meetup at 10am and fish the outgoing tide. (FYI Narragansett Pier high tide – 7:40am)
