Sad News

Dear Rhody Fly Rodders and Friends,

Tonight I have very sad news to share with you all.
Longtime member Ron Montecalvo, good friend to to all, and great friend to many, has passed away.
Seems Ron was fishing today at his favorite fishing spot on the Narrow River, in Narragansett, RI, had a massive heart attack and fell into the river. Few of the other fishermen came to his rescue, along with a couple of boaters, and was rushed to the hospital, but couldn’t be revived.
Ron was one of the original ‘Rhody’ members, joining in the mid-’60’s. He was a wonderful friend to me, and after many, many years of serving this club, he continued to work as an advisor to help run things. I and just about everyone else will miss him immensely. Rest in Peace, my friend.
His wife’s address is below in case you want to send a card. Check the ProJo for his arrangements.
Phillis Montecalvo
Best to you all,
Peter
